A man, already at the scene attempting to aid, was the first sign that the situation was dire. The car was submerged, the weight and the night threatening to seal a tragic fate for the woman caught inside. Details provided by the OCSO's post reveal the tension of those critical moments. The deputies, impervious to the risks, dove in. With the vehicle fully underwater, time was a commodity they could ill afford to waste.
They dove repeatedly, fighting against the forces of water that barricaded the woman inside, in their multiple attempts, they managed to break through the windows, a gateway to life, and brought the woman back to the surface. Remarkably, the woman survived with no significant injuries
