An Orlando community is grappling with the aftermath of a deadly shooting at a local gas station, which resulted in the death of an innocent person and injuries to two others. According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a man identified as Jeffrey Figueroa Rivera, 46, has been arrested on charges including second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. The incident occurred at a Texaco station on Lancaster Road around 11:26 p.m. on July 26, as reported by ClickOrlando.

Rivera is alleged to have returned to the fueling site following an earlier physical altercation and discharged a firearm "indiscriminately" at four individuals, none of whom were involved in the initial conflict. Tragically, one of the victims, a 66-year-old man named Ronald Steve Roberts, succumbed to his injuries and died at a hospital on Monday, while the two others sustained wounds.

The deputies' investigation also revealed that one of the four people who Rivera shot at but did not hit, had dropped their cell phone in the chaos and later returned to retrieve it. The suspect, who has now been taken into custody, is facing multiple charges, as detailed by FOX 35 Orlando.
