The Orlando Magic's philanthropic spirit is shining brightly as students prepare to return to school, with guard Cole Anthony leading the charge through community events and the provision of essential school supplies. In a concerted effort reported by WFTV, the Magic and Anthony have joined forces to supply more than 1,500 Central Florida students with the materials they need for academic success.

A coordinated outreach initiative has the Magic teaming up with local representatives, including City and Orange County Commissioners, to distribute the supplies. His 50 Ways Foundation, in particular, has been to notably increase its involvement and positively impinge upon the lives of local youth as they gear up for a new school season.

Anthony's community efforts were recognized earlier this year when he won the 2023-24 Rich & Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award for his services to the Central Florida community. "For me, it’s a really big deal," Anthony told NBA. "I try to do something every summer, especially since I got into the league, to just try to help kids in some way really before they go back to school." These words encapsulate his dedication to using his platform to foster positive change.

Receiving the award is but one aspect of Anthony's impact. The guard also ensures to personally engage with the youth at events such as those at Ivey Lane and James R. Smith Neighborhood Centers, where Anthony and team ambassadors provided meals and supplies.
