A statement from the Oxnard Police Department detailed how at approximately 2:18 a.m., a 2014 Hyundai Accent collided with an unoccupied parked 2018 Dodge Ram 3500, resulting in grave injuries to the Hyundai's driver and passenger.
The aftermath was grim - Oxnard-based Giovanni Leonardo Medina, 28, and his 24-year-old passenger were found trapped inside the Hyundai. Emergency response teams labored to free the individuals and swiftly transported them to Ventura County Medical Center.
