
Residents of Morrison County were reminded of the ever-present risk of road accidents when 63-year-old James Gruber of Pierz, MN was involved in a vehicle crash south of Buckman.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office, according to their report, received a call about the incident on August 28 at around 12:36 pm. The report detailed that Gruber was driving along 260th Avenue when his vehicle, having gone off the roadway, collided with a field approach before coming to rest in a cornfield.
Traveling south on 260th Avenue, it was Gruber’s vehicle that veered off course for reasons not detailed in the report. The resulting accident prompted a response from multiple emergency services. Gruber sustained injuries that have not been publicly detailed, though they necessitated urgent medical attention. The local Mayo Clinic Ambulance service transported him to St. Cloud Hospital, as cited by Morrison County.
Assisting the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office in their response were members from the Pierz Fire Department and the Pierz First Response Team.
