A somber cloud has descended upon Homewood South after a tragic incident on Rosedale Street near Tacoma Street left a child victim of a vehicle collision. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety blotter, authorities confirmed that a 6-year-old girl, riding her bike, was struck by a car just past 5:30 p.m. The young cyclist sustained traumatic injuries and was rapidly transported to Children’s Hospital by Pittsburgh EMS.
Despite the swift response, the child's struggles to hold onto life came to an end shortly after arriving at the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
