
In Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar, Pittsburgh first responders were summoned to an all-too-familiar scene of disruption. On August 13, according to an official report from the Public Safety Blotter, two sharp reports of gunfire, captured by ShotSpotter, cut through the hum of Lincoln Avenue and Lemington Avenue.
Responding rapidly to the urgency demanded by their profession, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 arrived at the site of the alert. Located was an adult male, who, despite suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm, remained conscious and able to converse with the officers and medics at approximately 2:45 p.m., according to the blotter.
The sound of sirens heralded the arrival of Pittsburgh EMS, who with professional swiftness, attended to the victim, stabilizing his condition before transporting him to a local hospital where he could continue to receive the care essential for his recovery. The victim's current medical state has been deemed stable and the investigation is ongoing.
