
Authorities in Pittsburgh are currently probing a shooting in Northview Heights where a man sustained injuries, as first reported on August 28th. The incident unfolded near the 100 block of Hazlett Street and the response saw police, fire, and EMS rush to the scene after reports came in at around 4 p.m., as detailed by Pittsburgh Public Safety Blotter.
The 35-year-old victim was found with a bullet wound to his leg, but he was conscious and communicative with the officers and medic personnel who tended to him upon their arrival, while being transported to a local hospital, he was notably in stable condition. Police have not yet disclosed if they have any suspects in the case or what led to the violence, the investigation has been taken up by the Violent Crime Unit detectives.
The Mobile Crime Unit was also summoned to methodically survey the site and gather pertinent evidence that could assist in unraveling the details of the shooting.
