
A horrific scene unfolded in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, where a double homicide occurred, leaving the community reeling. According to the San Diego government website, police responded to a shooting on the 3600 block of Zola St. yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims with gunshot wounds: two were pronounced dead at the scene, and a third, an elderly woman, was in stable condition after being transported to the hospital with serious injuries while the surviving victim managed to make her way to the street to seek help from the arriving officers, a 60-year-old white male was taken into custody at the front of the house where a shotgun was also found. No other suspects are believed to be involved.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be formalized, but initial reports describe them as a white woman approximately in her 60s and a white man estimated to be in his 30s. The Hoodline report detailed the ages and potential familial connections between the victims and the suspect.
The suspect, now in police custody, has been identified as William Bushey, who is the son of the surviving victim. Both lived at the residence, and investigations by the SDPD Homicide Unit are underway to comprehend the full scope of the circumstances that catalyzed the chilling events in what appears to be a tragic family-related incident.
