Residents and travelers in the Richland area should make a note of the temporary road closure scheduled for the upcoming weekend. According to an announcement from Allegheny County's Department of Public Works, Meridian Road will be closed to traffic for a few hours on Saturday, August 3 to accommodate the St. Barnabas Charities Free Care 5K event.
The stretch from Bakerstown Road to Gibsonia Road (Route 910) is set for closure from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., with the Department of Public Works clarifying that they are not the organizers of the event but are providing the closure information as a courtesy to the public.
For inquiries or detailed information about the 5K, St. Barnabas Charities' Shelli Sommariva can be contacted at 724-444-5521 or through email at [email protected].
