A tragic motorcycle accident on the Northwest side of San Antonio claimed the life of a man on Sunday afternoon. The San Antonio Police Department reported the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near Callaghan Road/ Medical Drive, as per KENS 5.
Initial findings by the SAPD suggest the man, in his late 40s, was traveling northwest on the access road when he crossed lanes, ran a stop sign at high speed, and collided with the sidewall of a bridge. This impact caused him to quickly go over the side and land below on the roadway, as detailed in the police account.
The victim, whose identity has not been released pending family notification, suffered from seizures, which may have contributed to the fatal crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition is being considered as a possible cause for the loss of control of the motorcycle, according to the police report.
