The Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a 41-year-old Texas woman who was charged with a trio of offenses after being found in possession of a pistol, without a license, in Washington, DC.

According to an official report released by the MPD, Christina Montoya, of San Antonio, TX, was apprehended yesterday, during the afternoon. Montoya's capture occurred after the police were tipped off about her activities, ultimately discovering her vehicle parked within the First District. Investigators managed to pinpoint her exact location through further inquiries.

MPD has charged Montoya with Carrying a Pistol without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and Threats Against a Former President, escalating the gravity of the arrest beyond a mere firearm possession charge. Details on the nature of the threats, or the targeted former president, were not disclosed in the immediate release.
