
A vegetation fire that started near Hole 12 of the Coyote Creek Golf Club has been brought under control by San José Fire Department firefighters. The fire, which was initially classified as Tier 1, was reported to be slow-moving and encompassed about half an acre upon the arrival of the first responders. The San José Fire Department alerted the public through an X post urging people to avoid the area around the blaze, and this was promptly followed by updates on the situation. As the firefighters battled the flame, the fire expanded to approximately two acres, but their efforts contained it effectively within the grounds of the golf course. No injuries were reported in the incident, and thankfully, no structures were involved. The collaborative force of the SJFD and assistance from @calfireSCU played a crucial role in combating the fire, which was declared under control by 3:09 pm, according to the same X source. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
