A probation search by the Santa Rosa Police Department's Special Enforcement Team (SET) last Friday resulted in the seizure of firearms and narcotics from a residence on Avalon Avenue in Santa Rosa. The search was part of an operation targeting 39-year-old Corrina Gonzales, who had a history of firearm-related charges and was barred from possessing firearms and ammunition, according to the terms of her bail.
At the residence, SET officers discovered several illegal items: a Beretta 9mm semi-automatic handgun with a Taurus upper receiver, a second Interarms semi-automatic 9mm handgun, and various amounts of suspected Fentanyl totaling around 12.5 grams, along with drug packaging equipment. Notably, Gonzales was not at the house during the 4:30 P.M. search. She was later picked up at approximately 11:30 P.M. upon her return.
Gonzales now faces felony charges, including possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, committing a felony while on bail, and possession of narcotics for purposes of sale. After the arrest, Gonzales was booked into the Sonoma County Jail. The Santa Rosa Police Department released this information in a statement detailing the specifics of the charges on Gonzales.
