
The Seattle Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred in the Olympic Hills neighborhood, officials confirmed over the weekend. The incident took place in the quiet residential area of North Seattle, disrupting the usual peace of the community.
According to the SPD Blotter, the series of events began unfolding on the morning of August 10, when at 10:22 a.m., patrol officers answered a call for a welfare check at a home located on the 3000 block of Northeast 133rd Street. Upon their arrival, along with the Seattle Fire Department, a deceased female was discovered inside the residence, marking the start of a somber investigation.
The scene was quickly secured by police, and Homicide as well as Crime Scene Investigation Units were called to the site. Detectives spent hours meticulously processing evidence, though the details of the victim's death are still being pieced together. As of now, the cause of death remains undetermined, pending the results from the King County Medical Examiner.
In a swift response on August 11, Seattle police apprehended a 25-year-old male suspect believed to be connected with the incident, as reported by the Seattle Police Department. Found by authorities, the suspect was arrested and has since been booked into King County Jail on charges of Investigation of Assault and Investigation of Homicide, according to officials.
