A severe motor vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Evergreen Road and Beverly Road in Severn. The incident, occurring the previous afternoon at around 5:25 p.m., involved a 2021 Axis Offroad mini-bike traveling north on Beverly Road. The Anne Arundel County Police Department reports indicating that the mini-bike operator failed to yield at a stop sign and was subsequently struck by a westbound 2017 Subaru Outback on Evergreen Road.

The mini-bike's driver, a 52-year-old male from Severn, was thrown from the vehicle due to the impact. Authorities noted the motorist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. After the collision, he was swiftly transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with injuries described as life-threatening. The driver of the Subaru, a 39-year-old female from Odenton, Maryland was not injured.

The Traffic Safety Section of the local police is still investigating the circumstances surrounding this serious crash.
