
Violence erupted on the streets of Columbus last week when gunshots were heard in the 1600 block of Parsons Avenue. According to a media release by the Columbus Police Department, officers were dispatched to the location around 9:51 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of the gunfire.
Upon arrival, they secured what they found to be a crime scene. In a twist of fate, while authorities were still processing the chaotic tableau, an adult victim, suffering gunshot wounds to their upper body, independently sought help at a local hospital. Officers connected the pieces to conclude this was the person struck during the Parsons Avenue incident. The unnamed victim is expected to survive these injuries that came upon them under still-mysterious circumstances.
The Columbus Police Department's pursuit of truth in this incident continues as they appeal to the public for information. Detective M.
