Scheduling in advance is encouraged to ensure a seamless experience, although walk-in donors are also welcome and appreciated.

For those considering the donation, here's the rundown of upcoming blood drives: the Surprise Regional Library's Program Room will be ready for donors on August 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again on September 20 at the same time. An additional opportunity is available on September 20 at the Asante Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Finally, the Surprise City Hall provides a space to give on September 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In a nod to the approaching Halloween season, Vitalant offers a special token of appreciation for participants. Donors will receive a Halloween costume t-shirt through the Donor Rewards program, "As a thank you for your willingness to help others through blood donation, Vitalant is providing a Halloween costume t-shirt through their Donor Rewards program while supplies last," according to the city's news release.
