Nearly five months following a tragic event on the streets of Grand Rapids, an arrest has been made in connection with the fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of 55-year-old Donna Nguyen. FOX 17 reports that 24-year-old Centell Isom was taken into custody on allegations of failing to stop at a fatal crash scene.

The crash occurred on March 17 at the intersection of 28th Street and Eastern Avenue, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD), and the victim was later pinpointed as Donna Nguyen of Wyoming, Centell Isom now faces charges related to her death. In addition to this, it's been reported by WOOD TV that he is also accused of fleeing the police, further complicating the case as the investigation continues.

A 2019 blue Ford Fusion was described by witnesses at the time of the crash which led the GRPD to release this description to the public in search of the suspect. It was noted that the vehicle would have sustained significant damage to the front passenger side, including to the headlight, bumper, hood, and fender. According to WZZM 13, officials have charged Isom with failure to stop at the scene of a crash resulting in death, a felony charge.
