Last month's chaotic scene at the intersection of Tennessee Street and Vervais Avenue in Vallejo has culminated in an arrest. The Vallejo Police Department reported that on July 16, 2024, their officers responded to an incident involving an injury collision, where gunshots were also heard, this was around 12:36 PM. Details surfaced as a three-vehicle crash was discovered involving a blend of makes and models—a Mercedes-Benz ML350, an Isuzu Trooper, and a Kia Soul, according to the information provided by the Vallejo Police Department on ther official Facebook page.
At the scene, officers came upon an injured adult female, strikingly sprawled on the pavement, suffering from what appeared to be collision-induced wounds. Aid was rendered immediately, and the woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Vallejo Police's Homicide Detectives took the reins of the investigation, which led to the identification of Jacoby Etter, a 46-year-old resident of Rancho Cordova, as the suspect in the case.
An arrest warrant was obtained on August 7, authorities disclosed, with an operation conducted the following day. In collaboration with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Detail, Vallejo Police apprehended Etter in Rancho Cordova on the 4300 block of Malana Way, he was taken into custody without incident, as outlined by the Vallejo Police Department statement.
Etter, linked to the July events, has been booked into the Solano County Jail on murder charges, Vallejo Police Department confirmed.
