
A tragic conclusion came to pass in the case of a domestic shooting in Laurel, Maryland, as the suspect, Dario Villard, has been confirmed dead from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to officials. The Laurel Police Department reported that Villard, 53, was implicated in a violent domestic dispute that saw a female victim sustaining multiple gunshot wounds on the night of Wednesday, August 28, at approximately 10:11 P.M. on Westmeath Drive.
In response to the incident, officers arrived at the scene quickly, offering lifesaving aid to the victim who was eventually transported to a local hospital where she is now listed in critical but stable condition. As the investigation unfolded, it led to the discovery of Villard's body in his vehicle located in Montgomery County the following morning on August 29.
