Authorities are on the lookout for Kelon Wilson, a suspect identified in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on Lee Road. According to a statement from Constable Mark Herman's Office, deputies responded to the 20800 block of Lee Road on Monday following reports of an Auto-Pedestrian collision. A pedestrian, whose identity hasn't been disclosed, lay dead, having succumbed to injuries from being struck by a vehicle that had since fled the vicinity without rendering aid.
The investigators, as part of their protocol, reviewed security footage from a nearby business, this evidence illuminated the tragic event and provided a clear image of the suspect vehicle – a blue 2020 Dodge Challenger. The video suggested that the collision had taken place the night before, but it wasn’t until the following morning that a passing motorist came across the victim and reported the incident. The rapid investigation led to the successful location of the vehicle in question, and consequently to the identification of Wilson as the suspect.
In the search for justice and closure, authorities have appealed to the public for assistance. “Kelon Wilson is currently wanted for Failure to Stop and Render Aid Involving Death. He received No bond out of the 183rd District Court. If you have information regarding his whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," urged Constable Herman.
