Last night, Zone 3 officers were dispatched to a business in the 2400 block of Arlington Avenue after the business owner reported reviewing his security camera footage and finding his store was burglarized overnight. According to the Pittsburgh Safety Media Blotter, a suspect utilized a rather brazen method to carry out his thievery, reversing his vehicle smack into the storefront to force his way in.
The business owner discovered the breach had occurred overnight, and now, approximately 100 cartons of cigarettes, a haul worth thousands, have vanished, when no one was present at the store, and sadly, the silent sentry that might have been an alarm remained unactivated.
The police and its Crime Scene Unit painstakingly combed the area for evidence that could weave the initial threads of justice.
After reviewing the video of the incident, plainclothes detectives have positively identified a suspect as an adult male and have applied for an arrest warrant.
