Suspected Armed Robber Disguised as Construction Worker Wanted in Aliquippa Bank HeistSource: Google Street View

A man dressed as a construction worker is being sought by police after allegedly robbing a Citizens Bank in Aliquippa and an individual patron on August 5. According to WPXI, the suspect, who is armed and dangerous, entered the bank at approximately 3:30 p.m., brandishing a gun at customers before leaping over the teller’s counter to demand money.

Witnesses described the suspect as being around 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and clad in what appeared to be construction gear, complete with a mask and gloves. He reportedly escaped on foot with roughly $2,000, taking both the bank's and a direct depositor’s money. The Aliquippa Police Department has linked the suspect to similar incidents that have occurred twice recently in Canton, Ohio.

This incident occurred shortly before 3:45 p.m. at the bank located on 22nd Street, as per WTAE. The robber, who took measures to obscure his face, succeeded in his heist without resulting in physical violence, though the threat of his weapon was enough to terrify those present.

The descriptions provided by witnesses have been disseminated in an effort to capture the suspect. The Federal Bureau of Investigations Pittsburgh is involved in the case and is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to make contact at 412-432-4000.
