ABC 6 reports that the much-loved chain will open on September 4 at 700 N. High St., marking the first foray of the health-focused eatery into Ohio.

While the chain has established a foothold in nearly 20 states, the addition to Columbus represents more than just an expansion; it's tapping into the city's appetite for fresh, quality eats. According to a statement obtained by ABC 6, co-founder and CEO Jonathan Neman said, "We’ve been blown away by the excitement and welcome the community has already extended to us, and we can’t wait to give Columbus a taste of Sweetgreen".

Sweetgreen has garnered a reputation for its health-centric menu, featuring dishes like the chicken pesto parmesan bowl and the hot honey chicken plate, not to mention the fan-favorite roasted sweet potatoes. Fueling the anticipation, WCMH highlighted the company's commitment to locally sourced ingredients such as apples, kale, sweet potatoes, and goat cheese, alongside freshly baked bread sourced from Midwest partners, promising a "fresh and crave-able" addition to the local dining options.

Moreover, the new location is not just bringing salads; it's shaping connections with the community through partnerships with Midwestern bakeries for its bread.
