
Last evening, the Santa Rosa Fire Department responded quickly to a vegetation fire reported in the Fountaingrove area of Santa Rosa. The fire, which had consumed approximately 1.5 acres of vegetation, began near Crown Hill Drive and Parkerhill Road. According to the Santa Rosa Fire Department, the blaze was dispatched around 4:55 pm.
Despite the potential threat to the nearby areas, fire crews were able to contain the fire rapidly, ensuring that no structures were put at risk. Santa Rosa Fire personnel were assisted by CalFire, aerial support from the Sonoma County Sheriff Helicopter Henry 1, and ground assistance from the Sonoma County Fire District. The fire was controlled by 5:15 pm, a swift response that prevented the flames' spread.
During the event, no evacuations were mandated, and there were no reports of injuries.
