
Taylor police have issued a warning after a child was approached by a man wearing only boxer shorts in Boardman Park. The incident, which took place in mid-August, occurred near the park's pavilion at the intersection of Haskell Road and Burr Street. Audacy reports that the suspect, described as a heavyset white man suspected to be age 50-to-65, roughly 5-foot-8, with short, light-colored hair and glasses, was reportedly riding a gray bicycle at the time of the incident.
According to ClickOnDetroit, the individual approached the child and solicited them to expose their genitals to him, promising in exchange to expose his. The child managed to run away immediately after the conversation and is reported to be safe, despite the day on which the incident occurred not being revealed by investigators.
The Taylor Police Department has increased patrolling around Boardman Park since the incident, but has not yet been able to identify the man. The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m., as reported by FOX 2 Detroit. However, the exact day of the week when the encounter took place remains undisclosed.
