A tractor-trailer rollover has led to the closure of a portion of Coal Valley Road, stretching from Route 51 to Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, bringing traffic to a standstill and causing some distress amongst local commuters. According to a report by WPXI, the incident also resulted in downed wires, prompting an emergency response.
The Jefferson Hills police, grappling with the aftermath, are urging drivers to sidestep the affected area, rerouting traffic to ease congestion, but with the road being shut down the resulting bottleneck has proven a vexing snag for residents and visitors alike. As detailed by WPXI, one individual, embroiled in the crash, was taken to a hospital, although details about their condition are not specified at this time.
Drivers intending to access Allegheny Health Network Jefferson are being rerouted as well, with the only available passage being via Route 885, according to details reported by WTAE.
