Swift action by law enforcement led to the apprehension of two suspects following a brazen daylight robbery in the northwest Houston area. On Saturday, authorities were summoned to the 10900 block of FM 1960 Road, where a woman reported being held at gunpoint and robbed of her purse and cellphone. The incident set off an immediate investigation by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office.
Using the stolen cellphone's tracking feature, deputies were able to pinpoint a location close to the 13900 block of Cypress North Houston Road, where surveillance operations were subsequently launched. A vehicle matching a description given by the victim—a tan-colored SUV—was spotted. A traffic stop confirmed that not only was the vehicle stolen, but it also contained the victim's belongings and a stolen handgun.
The suspects in the case, Ethan Jackson and Andri Diaz, were detained without further incident. According to Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page, "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Ethan Jackson was charged with Aggravated Robbery. Andri Diaz was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Unauthorized Use of Motor vehicle. Their bond and court information have not been set at this time."
