Two individuals were transported to the hospital after a police chase ended in a collision in Glassport Borough, an incident that unfolded early Wednesday morning. As reported by CBS News, the event began around 12:15 a.m. when a white car fleeing a traffic stop near Monongahela Avenue and Hemlock Way struck a parked car. A gun was later discovered in a nearby alley, adding a layer of complexity to the situation.
Multiple police departments, including officers from Glassport, Port Vue, Liberty Borough, and Lincoln Borough, responded to assist at the chaotic scene. At this time, information regarding the identities of those hospitalized and the extent of their injuries remains undisclosed.
In a separate but relative piece, WTAE confirmed the crash occurred just after 12:45 a.m. on the 700 block of Hemlock Way. Allegheny County 911 dispatchers were tasked with managing the emergency response as two individuals were taken to hospital following the incident.
