
Two individuals sustained injuries following a collision that occurred in an active construction zone on westbound Interstate 205 in San Joaquin County late yesterday evening. As reported by ABC10, the California Highway Patrol stated the mishap took place just after 10:25 p.m. near El Rancho Road.
Per details released, a 27-year-old man from Stockton was working within the confines of a bucket on a 2022 Ram truck situated in the closed #3 lane when the accident happened. An 18-year-old, leading the wheel of a 2016 Chevrolet, steered into the same lane and impacted the rear of the stationary utility truck.
Subsequent to the incident, the young man operating the Chevrolet was delivered to the hospital, carrying major injuries as revealed by KCRA. The worker from the Ram truck was also hospitalized with injuries described as moderate. Authorities investigating the crash have not suspected the involvement of alcohol or drugs as contributing factors.
As the families awaited news, taken with moderate injuries to the hospital was the 18-year-old driver, while the worker's condition was reported as major injuries. The identities of the injured parties remain undisclosed as the investigation into the precise cause of the collision proceeds.
