Following a violent confrontation in July, charges have been levied against two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting incident at 5901 North Freeway. Houston police identified the suspects as Troy Kyles, 24, facing a murder charge, with his booking photo released in a recent news release. The other suspect, Jrdon Mykel Joe, 22, remains wanted, also charged with murder; his August 2023 booking photo has been circulated by authorities.
The late-night shooting left Christian Segundo, 23, deceased on the scene. Recognized by the HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and K. Amri, Segundo suffered multiple gunshot wounds in what witnesses described as an argument turned deadly over a vehicle. According to the Houston Police Department, the parking lot of a vehicle storage area held Segundo's body upon discovery.
Initial evidence and the consequent investigation swiftly identified Kyles and Joe as key suspects, with surveillance photos released publicly three days post-incident. As part of the investigation's developments, on Monday, Kyles was apprehended and charged. In contrast, with his whereabouts currently unknown, the search for Joe intensifies as he evades capture.
The authorities urge the community to come forth with any details that could lead to the apprehension of Jrdon Joe.
