
Bastrop County reels from the July murder of a 42-year-old man, with recent arrests bringing some progression in the case. The Bastrop Police Department confirmed that on July 25, around 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to a troubling scene on the 300 block of SH 71 West. They discovered Ralph Yarbrough, later identified dead with "amount of bodily injury," as reported by CBS Austin,
Subsequent investigations have now led to apprehending two suspects. Fifty-three-year-old Keith Pennington stands accused of Yarbrough's murder. Nicholas Ray, 37, was also arrested, allegedly for attempting to slightly tamper with evidence related to the case, as per FOX 7 Austin.
