On Thursday, the streets of Southwest Baltimore became a crime scene when police responded to a shooting in the Unit block of South Gilmore Street. At around 3:31 p.m., law enforcement arrived to find a grim tableau, an unidentified male victim succumbed to gunshot wounds, his life extinguished before medics could intervene, as reported by the Baltimore Police Department.
According to the Baltimore Police Department's release, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene by attending medics. No suspects have been identified, leaving the community grappling with the unknown, the weight of unanswered questions, and the lingering presence of fear.
