The Urban Scholars program, a catalyst for nurturing the potential leadership within our local youth, celebrated another round of graduates today. The program, which is both a paid internship and a platform for formal leadership and professional development, has been instrumental in shaping the future of many young hopefuls who are now ready to make their imprint on the world. Notable alumni of the program took the opportunity to issue hearty congratulations to this year's cohort.
Spanning twelve rigorous weeks, Urban Scholars is designed to directly engage scholars with organizational leaders through meaningful projects, encouraging them to comprehensively understand the intricacies of their chosen fields. For four days each week, these interns delve into work assignments that are both challenging and rewarding, as detailed by Jason Chavez - Minneapolis Ward 9.
Alumni of the program, speaking on the condition of pride and reflection, said, "Congratulations to all the Urban Scholars who graduated from the program today!" They continued to express gratitude toward Lael Ware for his contributions to the Ward 9 Office and his dedication to helping the residents, as reported in a Facebook post.
