According to a statement from the Vallejo Police Department on their Facebook page, the incident occurred on August 1, and despite the efforts of officers who rendered medical aid and the subsequent transportation to a local hospital, the male victim succumbed to his wounds two days later.
Investigations carried out by the Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Detectives culminated in the identification of Fenton Dale Warren, a 47-year-old resident of Vallejo, as the prime suspect responsible for the homicide, after nearly three weeks of intensive investigations and community engagement by law enforcement. A warrant for Warren's arrest was issued on August 21, the Vallejo Police Department's SWAT Team executed a successful operation on Couch Street, where Warren was arrested without incident and later booked into the Solano County Jail on murder charges.
