The Vegas Golden Knights are gearing up to blaze a trail past familiar borders, launching "LosVGK en México" this fall, a program designed to expand the team's outreach to its Hispanic and Latin American fans. News3LV reports that a series of hockey clinics and fan activations are set for Mexico City, Metepec, and Monterrey from September 6-10, in a collaborative effort with the Mexican Ice Hockey Federation, Ice Hockey Workshops, and Fundación Dr. Sonrisas. The initiative aims to introduce the sport to local communities and strengthen the team's international following.

In a move to directly engage fans, the Golden Knights will host a variety of events including ball hockey and on-ice clinics. "LosVGK en México is an exciting opportunity for us to reach new fans and share our passion for the great sport of hockey," Kerry Bubolz, President & CEO told NHL.com. The trip also encapsulates a cultural exchange, featuring a LosVGK en México logo that proudly displays the red, white, and green of the Mexican flag.

The drive reaches beyond mere fan interaction, with both organizations eager to make a significant impact on the development of hockey in Mexico. "This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with one of the best sport organizations in the world. It will definitely be something that families will remember forever and help Mexican hockey and the Bufalos organization to grow the game in Metepec and in Mexico in general," Diego de la Garma, CEO of Ice Hockey Workshops and Head Coach of the Mexican National Ice Hockey Team, said in a statement shared by NHL.com.

The landmark initiative isn't just a series of clinics and a Fan Fest. It's a strategic play to extend the LosVGK brand, which the Golden Knights launched last fall, ever more deeper into the hearts of hockey enthusiasts outside Southern Nevada. "Since we launched the LosVGK brand last fall we have thought about ways to extend its reach beyond Southern Nevada, and there is no better way to celebrate the sport than to get sticks in boys’ and girls’ hands," Benjamin Thomas, Director of Latino Marketing and Outreach, said according to News3LV. From on-ice action to open skates and Fan Fests complete with food trucks and live music, the Golden Knights are ready to win over fans in a country known more for its fútbol than for pucks and skates.

Registration for the clinics is now open, with further details available for those keen to learn more about this unique engagement. For a full rundown of the “LosVGK en México” schedule of events, check the details shared by News3LV
