Chaos ensued in Orlando following a vehicle pursuit stemming from a suspected home burglary in Seminole County, leading to a dramatic crash that hospitalized four individuals. According to a report by ClickOrlando, deputies responded to a burglary at an occupied residence in Chuluota at approximately 1:15 p.m., which set off a chain of events culminating in the collision. Deputies in pursuit of the suspected vehicle sought the help of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), who later joined the chase.
The FHP employed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT maneuver) on Shader Road, which, used to end the chase, resulted in the suspect's vehicle crashing into a fence by 2:15 p.m. A viewer provided a video showing a trooper with his gun drawn as he approached the wrecked car, as reported by WFTV. The aftermath of the pursuit saw four passengers of the crashed vehicle being admitted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, with two of them seriously injured, and the other two sustaining minor injuries.
FHP stated that charges of fleeing and eluding, as well as reckless driving, are pending against the individuals involved in the crash. The situation was further confirmed by WFTV, which highlighted the crash's occurrence shortly after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Eunice Avenue and Shader Road.
