A Villa Rica man has been handed a life sentence without parole after being convicted on numerous charges related to the rape and molestation of a 15-year-old girl, officials declared. John Earl Mack, aged 43, was found guilty by a jury in Carroll County of charges including rape, two counts of aggravated child molestation, and enticing a child for indecent purposes on August 8, as detailed by Coweta County Judicial Circuit District Attorney John Cranford Jr.

The sentence handed down to Mack entails life without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 30 years. Prosecutors informed FOX5 Atlanta about the verdict and the subsequent sentencing. The trials of the justice system have, in this instance, brought full weight upon Mack, who had previously entered the purview of law enforcement for similar offences dating back to 2002.

According to prosecutors, the incidents under investigation took place between May 1 and May 12, 2022, wherein Mack sexually assaulted the victim multiple times. The abuse occurred at an abandoned home in Villa Rica, as well as a residence in Fulton County. The horrific string of assaults was revealed when the victim's mother reportedly overheard Mack requesting oral sex from her daughter, leading to his report to the Villa Rica Police Department.

The young girl provided a detailed account of her ordeal at the nonprofit Carroll County Child Advocacy Center, "where she said Mack had 'engaged in multiple sex acts with her,'" Atlanta News First reported. Adding a chilling dimension to the account, the teenager also recounted that Mack had provided her drugs to smoke, within the confines of the illicit Villa Rica location. Mack's reprehensible past includes a 2002 conviction for second degree rape in New York state.
