Two teenagers have escalated from victims to defendants following a shootout in West Mifflin, where police say they exchanged gunfire, injuring each other. According to WTAE, Matthew Hooper, 17, and Kevin Johnson Jr., 15, both face charges of aggravated assault after an incident on the evening of July 29. The Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit responded to calls at around 5:44 p.m. in the 10 block of Midway Drive where they discovered the wounded teens.
Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders promptly transported the teenagers to a nearby hospital. According to CBS News Pittsburgh, the 15-year-old sustained a chest wound and the 17-year-old was shot in the thigh.
