As the summer heat refuses to let up, White Settlement is getting ready to cool off in style with its 3rd annual Rock the Boat Event. This year’s participants will flock to Splash on Saturday, Sept 7th, starting at 10 am, with boat inspection kicking off the day at 8:00 am. Creative boaters and enthusiasts will converge to display their self-made vessels with hopes to nab awards in categories that boast titles like Siren Showdown, Best Sink, Best Boat Design, and Best Costume.
Registration for the event remains open, and those looking to join the festivities are encouraged to secure a spot. "We are so excited to see all the awesome boats that will be built this year," enthused an update from the City of White Settlement. The event promises an exhibition of craft and camaraderie, where each entry is a blend of artistry and aquatic engineering, each, a labor of love and a testament to the human spirit’s penchant for competition and celebration.
For interested parties, the city directs potential registrants to detailed rules and guidelines which are accessible on the event's website. The aforementioned city of White Settlement's post also encourages would-be participants to reach out to listed contacts, Yvette or Mo, for any additional questions or assistance. A sense of anticipation hangs in the air with the community geared up to make this iteration of the event the most memorable yet.
