White Settlement residents have the chance this weekend at the Frontier Waste July Community Clean Up Event. On Saturday, August 17th, from 8 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, August 18th, from 8 am to noon, the community cleanup event will take place at the corner of Meadow Park Drive and East Melrose, according to the City of White Settlement.
Recent clean-up events have seen a spike in community participation, prompting a change in Sunday's schedule to accommodate the influx. With dumpster space being a premium, it's advised that residents come early. The City of White Settlement has specified, "Sunday hours are being reduced due to the overwhelming response of resident participation at the clean up events."
One highlight of the cleanup is that it's an opportunity to dispose of larger items that can't typically go in the weekly trash pickup. However, certain items are not welcome. The event will not accept appliances or any hazardous waste. More so, the event is strictly for residential use, so commercial entities and contractors should seek alternatives.
To partake in the disposal extravaganza, residents must bring a driver's license and the latest City of White Settlement residential water bill as proof of residency. Each resident is entitled to one drop-off per monthly cleanup event. Frontier Waste Services underscores that "Anything dropped off outside of the posted operation hours is considered illegal dumping." Also, should the dumpsters reach their limit, the event will close ahead of schedule, as per the City of White Settlement.
