Residents of White Settlement looking to spruce up their spaces and discard bulk items will have a chance to do so this weekend. The Frontier Waste July Community Clean Up Event is scheduled for Saturday, August 17th, from 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday, August 18th, from 8 am to noon, or until dumpster space runs out. In a move to cope with the high turnout, officials have decided to reduce Sunday hours, making sure the service remains manageable and effective, according to the City of White Settlement.
The cleanup will take place at the corner of Meadow Park Drive and East Melrose, welcoming city residents exclusively to dispose of their limbs, brush, and other bulk items. However, not everything oversized that collects in our homes can be hauled away to these dumpsters. Items such as appliances and hazardous waste, which require special disposal methods, will not be accepted. The event focuses on residential bulk items only, meaning that contractors and commercial entities will need to find alternative disposal solutions.
Those planning to participate should come prepared. Alongside bulk items ready for disposal, you must bring two forms of proof to use this service: your driver’s license and the latest City of White Settlement residential water bill. Without this documentation, residents will not be allowed to drop off their items. Each resident is entitled to one drop-off per the monthly cleanup event, emphasizing fair access to this well-received community initiative.
