
Early Sunday morning in North Braddock, reports surfaced of a 20-year-old woman who was shot once in the leg. According to WPXI, authorities were alerted to the incident at 1:55 a.m. and promptly responded to the 900 block of Bell Avenue. The victim's injury, thankfully, did not result in life-threatening complications.
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital by a friend. She is reportedly in a stable condition, following the traumatic event. Local police have not yet identified any suspects, in the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing. Residents of North Braddock, and surrounding communities, are being asked to come forward with any potentially relevant information.
Further confirming the details of the episode, WTAE reported no arrests have been made thus far. The Allegheny County Police Department is reaching out to the public, urging anyone who might know something to contact their anonymous tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
