The ownership landscape of Pigeon Forge's popular attractions has subtly shifted with World Choice Investments, LLC, taking the helm of the Titanic Museum. As the parent company to a variety of entertainment venues including Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, WCI has expanded its breadth to now encompass the storied museum that commemorates the ill-fated ocean liner.
According to a release, as reported by WATE, the acquisition had quietly taken place several months ago. This strategic move has enabled the museum's founders, John and Mary Kellogg-Joslyn, to seamlessly retire from the enterprise they launched with the opening of the Branson location back in 2006. World Choice Investments' CEO was quoted saying, "this allowed the couple to retire," marking an end of an era for the Kellogg-Joslins but perhaps the start of a new chapter for the Titanic Museum under the WCI banner.
While details on potential changes under the new management have not been publicly discussed, the rich history enshrined within the Titanic Museum augurs well for continued success. The Pigeon Forge location first opened its doors in April 2010, becoming a significant attraction in the area with claims of being the world’s largest museum attraction devoted to the Titanic, as stated on the museum's official website.
The footprint of WCI in the realm of entertainment and, specifically, in Pigeon Forge is only set to expand with this purchase. Their CEO, Jack Lawrence, outlined in a statement obtained by WVLT, that the previous owners can now "retire from the business they spent decades building." With the acquisition, WCI now houses an assortment of entertainment options that have been gathering families around dinner shows and interactive experiences for years.
