A 20-year-old man tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at the Meadowlark Glen Apartments in Iredell County. The man, identified as Clifton Cornelius Vandiver of Concord, sustained multiple gunshot wounds late Sunday night, around 11:15 p.m. The Mooresville Police Department responded to the incident, arriving at a scene marked by signs of violence, as reported by WBTV.
According to QC News, Vandiver was transported to a local hospital after the shootin where he succumbed to his injuries. It appears the shooting stemmed from an argument that erupted into deadly gunfire between Vandiver and others.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing camera footage to piece together the events leading to Vandiver's death as part of their effort to gather more evidence, according to WSOCTV.
While motives and suspects remain undisclosed, police promise to provide more information as the investigation continues.
