After a protracted investigation, authorities in San Joaquin County have apprehended a suspect linked to a grim triple homicide uncovered earlier this year. Details emerged after the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office released a statement about the arrest of 25-year-old Steven Guerrero Jr. in connection to the deaths of three individuals found at a residence on E. Mettler Road in Lodi. The victims, each having succumbed to gunshot wounds, were discovered by deputies dispatched for a welfare check after family members reported an inability to connect with the residents for an extended period.
The investigative team, working diligently to piece together the circumstances leading up to the tragic event, believes the attack was targeted. In an attempt to meticulously protect the ongoing investigation, authorities initially opted to withhold public notification about the incident, according to a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. Guerrero now faces multiple charges, including three counts of Penal Code 187(a) - Murder, along with Penal Code 459 - Burglary, and Penal Code 12022.53 - Firearm Enhancement.
The case has taken a pivotal turn with Guerrero's arrest on September 14. The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office's dedication to uncovering the truth has been evident in their commitment to following leads and conducting a thorough investigation.
