A tragic road incident resulted in the death of a 73-year-old Kings Mountain man, which is currently under police investigation. The accident, involving a small pickup truck and a large box truck, occurred early yesterday morning near South Battleground Avenue and Raven Circle, authorities have disclosed that the 73-year-old Edmond Bukoski, driving the pickup, was the victim of the catastrophic event, according to QCNews.
After receiving several 911 calls starting at 8:11 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the scene, finding Bukoski trapped in the wreckage, The Shelby Star detailed in their coverage. Kings Mountain Fire Department had to utilize specialized equipment to extricate Bukoski from the vehicle, following which he was immediately taken to Atrium Health, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
While the incident had fatal consequences for the driver of the pickup truck, the operator of the box truck reportedly did not sustain major injuries, according to WCCB Charlotte.
