The Lewis County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to the scene around 2:30 P.M. and found the elderly lady in a severe state. "When they arrived, they discovered the victim had been attacked by two of her own German Shepherds, resulting in major trauma to both of her lower arms," states press release obtained by DogsBite.org. Efforts were made to rush her to an hospital, including a Life Flight airlift from Adna High School, but she perished during the flight.
Post-attack, the two canines involved in the incident were voluntarily turned over by their co-owner to the authorities. As a standard procedure following such incidents, the dogs were euthanized. This information was detailed in a article posted by The Olympian.
