
Motorists on State Road 429 in Apopka experienced delays Sunday afternoon following a collision that required the temporary shutdown of all northbound lanes. The incident, which was first reported around 1 p.m. just north of the Yothers Road overpass, brought traffic to a standstill as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. According to ClickOrlando, vehicles were seen being diverted away from the area of the crash, and the presence of a helicopter on the roadway suggested the severity of the situation.
While details were initially scarce, ClickOrlando later confirmed that Orange County Fire Rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene. Around 2:30 p.m., the roadway was observed to be clear, and traffic began to flow again. The extent of the disruption caused was not immediately available, but drivers were advised to expect residual delays as normalcy slowly began to return to State Road 429.
As detailed by WESH, at least two individuals were transported to local hospitals after the crash, one to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and another to Arnold Palmer Hospital. The current condition of those involved has not been disclosed, leaving the public to hope for the best as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
